Flowerbomb EDP is a sweet floral gourmand fragrance built around jasmine, rose and patchouli, and Maids Scents carries the authentic Eau de Parfum with delivery across Nigeria and beyond, alongside our wider selection of designer perfumes.
What is Flowerbomb EDP?
Flowerbomb EDP launched in 2005 as Viktor & Rolf’s debut fragrance, introduced at the house’s own tenth anniversary. It was created by a team of four perfumers, Olivier Polge, Carlos Benaim, Dominique Ropion and Domitille Michalon Bertier, the same nose behind Flowerbomb Bloom EDT, which we already carry. Housed in a diamond grenade bottle designed by Fabien Baron, the fragrance was conceived as an explosion of a thousand flowers, and quickly became a modern classic in its category, going on to spawn numerous flankers over the years.
Fragrance Profile
Flowerbomb EDP opens with tea, bergamot and osmanthus, a fresh, slightly sweet burst more than one reviewer specifically describes as an inviting introduction, with the tea lending a genuinely calming quality right from the first spray.
As it develops, the heart brings in Cattleya orchid, sambac jasmine, Centifolia rose, freesia and African orange flower, richly opulent and lush. More than one reviewer specifically calls this composition warm and beautiful, like stepping into a spring garden drenched in blossoms, though it’s genuinely worth being honest that a separate detailed reviewer finds the whole thing surprisingly weak on their own skin, barely detectable after an hour and gone within two.
The base settles into patchouli, musk and vanilla, closing out a sweet, slightly vanillic dry-down more than one reviewer describes as a dessert-like amber and patchouli finish, present without ever becoming overpowering.
Top Notes: Tea, Bergamot, Osmanthus
Heart Notes: Cattleya Orchid, Sambac Jasmine, Centifolia Rose, Freesia, African Orange Flower
Base Notes: Patchouli, Musk, Vanilla
Who Should Wear Flowerbomb?
Flowerbomb EDP suits anyone who wants a genuinely warm, sweet, floral-gourmand signature rather than a light, transparent scent. More than one reviewer specifically calls it a comforting embrace and a dazzling statement all at once, a fragrance that helped define its entire category.
Flowerbomb EDP is also worth being honest is a fairly polarising style, since its sweet-gourmand base and prominent patchouli won’t suit every taste, so testing on skin first is genuinely worth doing before committing to a full bottle. That said, its sheer popularity over two decades speaks to how many people it genuinely does win over.
Performance and Longevity
It’s genuinely worth being honest that reported performance varies here. Most reviewers describe it as a confident, long-lasting statement fragrance, though a separate detailed reviewer reports it fading noticeably within just two hours on their own skin.
Two to three sprays on pulse points is a sensible starting point given this genuine variability across different wearers and skin types.
The Best Time to Wear Flowerbomb in Nigeria
Given its genuinely warm, sweet, versatile floral character, this fragrance suits Nigeria’s climate especially well year-round, working comfortably through Lagos heat and humidity for confident, memorable daytime or evening wear.
