Pink Sugar EDT is a sweet gourmand fruity fragrance built around raspberry, cotton candy and caramel, and Maids Scents carries the authentic Eau de Toilette with delivery across Nigeria and beyond.
What is Pink Sugar EDT?
Pink Sugar EDT launched in 2004, the very first fragrance released by Italian cosmetics house Aquolina, created by perfumer Shyamala Maisondieu, the same nose behind Versace Crystal Noir EDP, which we already carry. This original release went on to reach genuine cult status, becoming something of a defining scent for a whole generation, even making a memorable cameo in The Devil Wears Prada. It’s also the foundation behind later flankers like Creamy Sunshine EDT and Berry Blast EDT, both of which we already carry.
Fragrance Profile
Pink Sugar EDT opens with bergamot, Sicilian orange, raspberry and fig leaf, a bright, fruity burst more than one reviewer specifically describes as a loud, unapologetic wall of caramelised sugar from the very first spray.
As it develops, the heart brings in licorice blossom, lily of the valley, cotton candy and red fruits, richly sweet and playful. It’s genuinely worth being honest that reception to this composition is starkly, extremely divided, with one reviewer specifically calling it their favourite perfume, smelling like happiness itself, while a separate detailed reviewer describes the exact same licorice-cotton-candy combination as an unspeakable, melted-plastic beast rearing up out of nowhere on their own skin.
The base settles into caramel, vanilla, musk, tonka bean and sandalwood, closing out a warm, dense dry-down more than one reviewer describes as deep and complex despite the deceptively light-sounding name, the sandalwood grounding the sweetness with genuine warmth.
Top Notes: Bergamot, Sicilian Orange, Raspberry, Fig Leaf
Heart Notes: Licorice Blossom, Lily of the Valley, Cotton Candy, Red Fruits
Base Notes: Caramel, Vanilla, Musk, Tonka Bean, Sandalwood
Who Should Wear Pink Sugar?
Pink Sugar EDT suits anyone who wants a genuinely sweet, bold, gourmand signature rather than a light, subtle everyday scent. More than one reviewer specifically calls it a great starter fragrance for teenagers that’s equally loved by women of all ages, though it’s genuinely worth being honest that this is a true love-it-or-hate-it release, with some reviewers finding it grows genuinely cloying over time.
Pink Sugar EDT has also earned lasting, nostalgic devotion from more than one long-time wearer specifically describing it as inseparable from a particular chapter of their life, drawing them back to rebuy it years later.
Performance and Longevity
Performance is generally strong, with more than one detailed reviewer specifically reporting longevity anywhere from six to twelve hours, alongside good projection, though it’s genuinely worth being honest that a smaller number of reviewers report a more modest four to five hours on their own skin.
Two to three sprays on pulse points, including behind the knees and inside the elbows, is a sensible starting point given how consistently this fragrance’s intensity is reported to build with body heat.
Best Time to Wear Pink Sugar in Nigeria
Given how consistently reviewers describe this fragrance as sweet, warm and versatile across occasions, it suits Nigeria’s climate especially well year-round, working comfortably through Lagos heat and humidity for confident, cheerful daytime or evening wear.
