Bloom EDP is a heady white floral fragrance built around jasmine, tuberose and Rangoon creeper, and Maids Scents carries the authentic Eau de Parfum with delivery across Nigeria and beyond.
What is Bloom EDP?
Bloom EDP launched in 2017, created by perfumer Alberto Morillas, the same nose behind Gucci Bloom Ambrosia di Fiori EDP Intense, which we already carry, and this marked creative director Alessandro Michele’s very first fragrance for the House. Michele described his vision as a green, courageous scent that transports the wearer to a vast garden filled with flowers and plants. Bloom went on to win the Fragrance Foundation’s own Fragrance of the Year – Women’s Prestige award in 2018, and it was also the first fragrance to feature notes of Rangoon creeper, a flower that genuinely changes colour as it blooms.
Fragrance Profile
Bloom EDP opens with Rangoon creeper and honeysuckle, a bright, sweet burst more than one reviewer specifically describes as the diva of the composition, sweet without ever becoming sickly.
As it develops, the heart brings in jasmine sambac and tuberose, richly floral and lush. More than one reviewer specifically describes this stage as evoking an early summer evening walk through a hotel garden right before dinner, a genuinely realistic white floral rather than an artificial-smelling approximation. It’s genuinely worth being honest that a smaller number of reviewers find this same combination overpowering and off-putting on their own skin, though the overwhelming majority describe it as gorgeous.
The base settles into orris, closing out a warm, slightly powdery dry-down more than one reviewer describes as linear yet elegant, the tuberose remaining the clear star of the show from opening to close.
Top Notes: Rangoon Creeper, Honeysuckle
Heart Notes: Jasmine Sambac, Tuberose
Base Note: Orris
Who Should Wear Bloom?
Bloom EDP suits anyone who wants a genuinely lush, confident, white-floral signature rather than a light, understated scent. More than one reviewer specifically calls it fresh, light and crisp, checking all the right boxes for a modern take on a classic floral, versatile enough to suit nearly anyone who tries it.
Bloom EDP has also earned genuine, lasting popularity as the foundation of an entire flanker family, with more than one reviewer specifically noting how quickly follow-up releases arrived after this original proved to be an instant success.
Performance and Longevity
It’s genuinely worth being honest that reported performance varies somewhat here. Many reviewers describe long-lasting, soft and elegant wear, though a smaller number of long-time fans specifically feel more recent bottles perform noticeably weaker than they remember, fading within a couple of hours rather than lasting all day as before.
Two to three sprays on pulse points is a sensible starting point given this genuine variability across different production batches.
Best Time to Wear Bloom in Nigeria
More than one detailed reviewer specifically describes this fragrance as a spring specialist, daytime-leaning and suited to office or casual settings, which maps directly onto Nigeria’s warm climate especially well year-round, working comfortably through Lagos heat and humidity for confident, fresh daytime wear.
