Asad EDP is a warm spicy amber fragrance built around black pepper, coffee and vanilla, and Maids Scents carries the authentic Eau de Parfum with delivery across Nigeria and beyond.

What is Asad EDP?

Asad EDP launched in 2021, the original release that later inspired Asad Zanzibar EDP, which we already carry, presented in a black bottle finished with clear golden lines. More than one detailed reviewer specifically describes it as roughly ninety percent similar to Dior’s own Sauvage Elixir, genuinely close without being an exact one-to-one match. Since its debut, the wider Asad line has grown to include several siblings, including Asad Bourbon and Asad Elixir, both released in 2025.

Fragrance Profile

Asad EDP opens with black pepper, pineapple and tobacco, a warm, forceful burst more than one reviewer specifically describes as sharp and almost explosive at first, softened by a generous dose of lavender that anchors the whole composition.

As it develops, the heart brings in patchouli, coffee and iris, richly warm and spiced. More than one reviewer specifically calls this composition massively addictive, transitioning beautifully from sweet-spicy to woody and back to sweet again, though it’s genuinely worth being honest that a smaller number of reviewers find a dusty, sawdust-like dry wood note here genuinely off-putting.

The base settles into vanilla, amber, dry wood, benzoin and labdanum, closing out a warm, smoky-sweet dry-down more than one reviewer describes as mellowing into something creamy and comforting, with amber providing a noticeable, lingering finish.

Top Notes: Black Pepper, Pineapple, Tobacco
Heart Notes: Patchouli, Coffee, Iris
Base Notes: Vanilla, Amber, Dry Wood, Benzoin, Labdanum

Who Should Wear Asad?

Asad EDP suits anyone who wants a genuinely warm, spicy, confident signature rather than a light, unassuming scent. More than one reviewer specifically calls it a comfortable top five within their entire fragrance collection, an easy choice when they simply want to smell good without overthinking it.

Asad EDP has also earned genuine respect from more than one reviewer specifically noting that while it falls slightly behind its pricier designer inspiration in raw projection and longevity, the price-to-value ratio remains genuinely excellent. That same value proposition has made it a genuinely popular starting point for anyone curious about Sauvage Elixir without wanting to commit to the far higher designer price tag.

Performance and Longevity

Performance is generally solid, with more than one detailed reviewer specifically reporting eight to ten hours of longevity on skin, though it’s genuinely worth being honest that projection is reported as more moderate than commanding by at least one detailed wearer.

Two to three sprays on pulse points is a sensible starting point given this fragrance’s genuinely warm, close-to-skin character once it fully settles onto the skin.

Best Time to Wear Asad in Nigeria

More than one detailed reviewer specifically describes this fragrance as evoking the energy of cooler evenings and quiet confidence, which maps naturally onto Nigeria’s cooler harmattan season, where drier air lets the amber, benzoin and labdanum base fully develop for confident evening wear.
